Christmas Eve 2011

Twas the night before Christmas, so we did the traditional. Scramble to make sure that you've got everything ready; food, gifts, gas, etc. We went to the Joneses at about 5 for a Christmas Eve dinner- a delicious spread, and then for lots of family time, noise, chaos, singing, and a reading from Luke 2.

Gathered together. I don't think it ever got quiet, but we were all just so excited.
Clark's family and Evan
Anthony and Jamie. Jordan and Katherine.
Angela and Paul were there all the way from Philadelphia.

It's a tradition in the Jones family that we get to open one gift for Christmas Eve. Kimball doesn't love that tradition, so we comprimise and I make them pajamas as a gift and they get to open those and wear them on Christmas. Toy Story was the theme this year.
Laura and I made them together for all our boys.

Here they are modeling their new pj's, except we're missing the two cutest ones-
Talmage and Jake.

They played "football" in the basement for about an hour after getting into their jammies. I took some video, and cried because I knew that Laura would be leaving for So. Carolina within 36 hours. I didn't even want to stop them so that we could go home. They laughed and tackled and ran, and teased. Silly, silly boys. They are really entertaining to watch.
Finally we did make it home, and we made sure to leave Santa something to eat.

Two years ago we were given a special gift from Grandma Mary Jane Knights. She gave us the book, "Twas the Night Before Christmas" that had a recording of her reading it. Kimball turned the pages for the boys. Then we crossed our fingers that they would fall asleep quickly. They did.
This is Talmage's very first Christmas!!

Hope we've all been good this year. To all a good night.

I can't get over what a ridiculously cute baby Talmage is. Andrew looks like such a big boy now; I almost didn't recognize him sitting next to Benson.
