Way back in May, I was planning my grocery trip. Benson said, "mom, can I help? I could write your list." I love when he wants to help, unless it's dangerous, I almost always try to involve him (maybe because I know that in the future he may not be so anxious). He got a tablet and a pen and as I looked through the fridge and pantry I would tell him what to write down. All the while, I was trying my best to memorize my own list in my head. When we were done making the list, we headed to the car, Benson with his little list covered in an uncoded language in his hand.
On the way to the store:
Mom: "Benson, when we get to the store, you can read me the list and I'll put the food in the cart."
Bens: "Mom, I can write some letters, but I can't read yet."
Mom: "Oh no, how are you going to tell me what to buy if you can't read the list?"
Benson: "Well, I can't read the list, but I can read the scriptures."
Okay, that was cute!
