Girls Weekend

We had a girls weekend to remember the good old BYU days(6/19/10). Obviously we're missing several girls (new baby, due any day, two out-of-staters), but Amy was here from Boston and we definately wanted to plan something. Luckily, Sarah was up for some girl time too. We started in Park City for lunch at the Pizza Factory. Then on to none other than the outlets! We shopped and shopped and talked and didn't worry about the time. We hit all the stores we wanted to (picked up matching outfits at Banana) and then headed back to stay at Sarah's new and very beautiful home in Lehi. On the way, we grabbed dessert at Nothing Bundt Cakes. We hung out at Sarah's place until we decided that we were hungry enough to go out to Applebees. Amy had this desire to visit the Roller Mills and honor Footloose (since it was filmed there). We did a little snooping around and helped ourselves to some dancing. Erica, Sarah, Amy

What am I thinking?

Sarah's solo
"> We drove off in style- blaring the song, "I'm Holding Out for a Hero"
Later that night we played the Wii fit. It can calculate your wii age and I was up for it, thinking that I'm not really as old as I am. I was sad that it guessed me like three years older than I am. (determined by a balance test). I tried again and with more focus. This time it put me 5 years younger. Satisfied with that I stopped. Amy's turn, let's just say that she did okay the first time, and the second all made us laugh really hard. We played hulu hoop, ski jump and heading soccer balls. It really was funny. I wish I had a picture of me looking ridiculous.
In keeping with our theme, Sarah found her DVD of Footloose. It's been forever since I've seen it and we did some skipping around to find the best scenes all while enjoying our little Bundlets. When we felt like it was late enough we headed to bed. The three of us talked until we were about to fall asleep and then Sarah wisely went to bed. Since Amy and I were sharing a bed we kept talking. There were moments when I thought i'd fall asleep mid-sentence, but I hung in there. . . . . until we think about 5am. We had a lot to catch up on and a lot to reflect on together. When we talk late into the night there are always several topics from our BYU days that will always come up, and truthfully Amy and I have been through the thick and thin of it our whole lives. We woke up around 7:30 to get home in time for Father's day. Sarah was such an awesome host to open her new home to us and it was really good to get caught up and spend time together.
