Saturday night we made plans with our friends Heather and Dickson and their beautiful girls Jada and Zoie. We had an awesome summer dinner and then headed to the drive- in movies.
Sipping up Kimball's specialty- fresh lemonade! It was so yummy!
Cute Jada- love that little girl. She's just a few months younger than Andrew and I'm pretty sure that Benson thinks she is his little sister.
Awesome kabobs Heather!
This was Dickson's first drive-in movie -he loved it!
but we did enjoy a beautiful sunset

We saw "Knight and Day". After the first show, Kimball and I went to the restroom. On the way he told me where the movies were projected from. I commented that it was really awesome how the drive-in works. The next thing we heard was, "Hey, do you wanna come see it up here?" We were up there in seconds. There were 3 foot reels rolling all over in this room. This really nice man Earl has been doing this for 50 yrs.- 20 at that location and told us that there used to be over 4,000 drive-in's across the nation, now there are just over 700. He said it is a well paying hobby that he loves. He even offered to let me start our next movie. All I had to do was push a button and drop the reel lever. How cool.
Andrew fell asleep just as the movie was starting and slept the whole time- perfectly according to plan. Benson on the other hand was. . . .
This picture makes me laugh. Benson watched his own movie in the van and then wanted to come sit on our laps. We ended up watching the second Flick- "A-Team" and even though it was pretty good, I fell asleep. Don't worry, Benson kept Kimball company. He seriously believed that Toy Story 3 was going to be on after the second movie and he was waiting up. He said, "dad, I need more popcorn, is it going to be Toy Story now?" When we got home, Kimball just put him right in bed. When I came in to tell him goodnight, I asked if he'd gone potty and brushed his teeth. He said, "No. Just leave me alone." He was asleep within seconds.

Thanks for a fun night! Jada loves you too! I'm sure she'd be more than happy to do a mom-swap sometimes.
Love the pictures...but my favorite has to be Benson with the sweat-band on his wrist and backpack. What a cutie!
