My best helper

It is so nice to have Benson home. I'll admit, I got sad reading all the blogging posts about 'the first day of school' for everyone because I can't imagine sending Benson off. I know I have a lot of time before that happens, but I also know how fast it goes by.

He's such a good helper. He's always willing to get Andrew a toy or his blanket, or whatever he needs. The best is that he RUNS to get things. The other night, Kimball had some later appointments and I was putting the kids to bed alone. I was holding Andrew in the rocking chair and was too lazy and too comfortable to go get him a binky. I asked Benson to go get it. He ran into the kitchen. I heard a drawer open and the stool hit the ground. About five minutes went by and I decided to check out what was going on...because you never know with a two-year old. This is what I found- Benson on the stool with the tongs trying to reach the just-out-of-reach binky on the counter. He finally got it and was so proud that he had problem solved. Good thinking Benson!
