"Happy Halloweeeen to me!"
- Benson
Benson as Woody

Kimball and I had a lot of fun putting the boys' costumes together. Benson's came throughout the month of October as we added to it here and there. I looked at a picture of the Woody character from 'Toy Story" on the internet, and Benson would ask almost everyday to look at the picture too.
Benson: "I being Woody for Halloween mom?"
Mom: "Yep!"
Benson: "Oh. Wow!"
Benson: "Let me see Woody's picture on the puter."
Mom: "Okay."
Benson: "That's Woody. I'm Woody. That's crazy mom."

Andrew as Woody's sidekick- Mr. Potato Head

Trick or Treating on Halloween

We went to about ten houses, and the neighbors were generous. Benson probably got about three lbs. of candy. He told us that his bag was getting heavy. He loved trick or treating and would yell "thank you" at each door.

This was only just the beginning.

This isn't the greatest picture, but that rat is sound sensitive and it squeals and moves when you get close to it. I laughed so hard (while trying to hide my laughter from Benson) but he said, "that is scaring me." This is my parents porch. Every year my mom decorates and puts all sorts of Halloween stuff out. She even hides a ghetto blaster under an orange tablecloth that plays creepy music. We love it- tradition! My mom also has a "witch's brew". We ate hot soup, salad, and donuts, and these really adorable mummy's that Laura made out of rolls, pizza sauce, string cheese and olives. It was a great night!
My mom's porch. It's cooler than the picture shows though.
Trunk or Treat.
On Friday, Benson, Andrew and Carter were invited to a Trunk-or-Treat at Grandma and Grandpa High's. Grandma and Grandpa made fresh hot scones on site! They were so yummy. Benson was pretty shy at first and had a look on his face that said, "What is going on here?". That look quickly vanished with the 'kurplunk' of the first piece of candy hitting the bottom of his bag. We also went to a trunk-or-treat at our ward on Halloween. It was really fun to see all of our friends and their children dressed up. Once again, Benson got a lot of candy.
My Mr. Potato Head
Andrew was so laid back in his stroller. I think that he really liked
looking at all the people and costumes around him.
Carter as a cute little Punkin'

Benson's little boots light up as he walks- not something that I would typically buy for him, but he thought it was pretty cool. We'd catch glimpses of him just stomping his feet to make the lights go off. Hey, I guess it was a safety feature built right in to the costume.

I love halloween pictures. I've been excited to see these since Kimball told me what the boys were being. They are so cute! And can I just say that I want to be your mom and have a cool front porch for Halloween. I looked amazing! I always loved going to the houses that were all decked out. Some day...some day, I'm gonna be one of those houses!
