What a blessing!

Andrew on his blessing day. He is exactly 8 weeks old.

Kimball blessed Andrew on Sunday, November 30th in the Lee Ward of the Granite Park Stake. Both Kimball and I had our entire families present except for Kimball's sister's family that live in Missouri (we missed them). We felt very blessed to have so many of our friends join us on this special day. I had a talk with Andrew in the morning and told him this was a special day for him and that he had to be on his best behavior. He didn't cry during the blessing. Amazing. To top it off, he didn't spit up all over himself either. Kimball did such a great job. I truly marvel at the blessings and opportunities which await Andrew. Even before he was born, I knew that he was going to be a strong person, with a great purpose in life. We love him and are so happy that he is here. After the meeting we met back at our clubhouse and had soup and homemade bread and lots of desserts to choose from. I couldn't have pulled it off without the help of family and friends. It was a great day, one that we will remember for a very long time, and thanks to Grandma Knights who is amazing at shorthand, Andrew will someday get to read his blessing.

Lights on Temple Square

My sister Stephanie and her cute family from Tucson. I LOVE when they visit!
Benson and me, Jennifer, Steph, Audrey, Jackson, and Blake

We went to Temple Square to see the lights. It's always much better when you get out of the car and walk around to get the full affect. My sister Stephanie was here to visit for Thanksgiving and her family hasn't seen the lights in awhile. Blake was really tough- proving that he could brave the cold without his coat on. Benson learned a new word that night, lights ("zites"). He pointed every which way to point out the zites to everyone. Jenn, home for the weekend from Utah State came and played the best aunt ever, helping us all keep an eye on the kids amongst the crazy mass of people. What a great way to start the season.

Mini Golf

We took Benson mini golfing with Nate and Andi. I wore Andrew in the sling and Kimball and Nate helped Benson golf. By about the third hole, he was lining all of our balls up around the hole and putting them in. Kimball was SUCH a proud dad. It was really cute. Good thing we weren't really keeping score. Now, Benson loves to putt around the house. The only problem is that I have to watch where he's swinging the club. He's pretty good to keep it on the ground, but he gets really excited sometimes and likes to swing it around.

Three Great Years

Kimball and I celebrated our three year wedding anniversary on November 12th. We can hardly believe it has already been three years. The time has gone so fast, but we don't have regrets about the way we've spent them. Kimball was in Houston this week for business, butflew in at six that night. Grandma and Grandpa High were so great to watch the boys (with help from Carlie) while Kimball and I went to the Salt Lake Temple and then out to eat at the Garden, which is where we ate the night we got engaged. It was a lot of fun to have dinner and time together. The best part is that this year, I didn't lock us out. I love Kimball so much and am grateful everyday that he chose me as his bride and that we were married in the Temple. I look forward to this year of marriage, as my love for him grows.

Halloween

Halloween was a lot of fun this year. It started out with a trip to Gardner Village. It was nice to get out of the house with out little family. It was one of our first outings together and I ran into a friend, Stacy, that I haven't seen in a long time. I took Benson to a special Halloween library story time. Laura and Luke were there and it was fun to see them interact with the other children in costumes. We went to a trunk or treat at the High's the night before Halloween and had yummy scones. On Halloween We took Benson trick or treating after eating "witches brew" at the Joneses. Benson had a lot of fun. Kimball dressed up as a referee (simple), Benson was twinners with Luke (there is hidden meaning behind the costumes), Andrew was Benson's sidekick as the banana, and I was the sacrificial mom that didn't have time to put something together(: After Benson crashed, we watched the Da Vinci Code and ate way to many "bite sized" candybars. Trick or treating with "Bompa" Luke and dad

Grandma and Grandpa Jones on Halloween.
My mom always decorates the porch and plays
spooky music. It's really fun for tricker treaters.

All this fun wore Benson right out

Two little monkeys

My little banana. This was kind of a last minute project
for Andrew. It kept him warm and snuggly.

This is Benson's first sucker. Now he loves them.
He fell asleep with this in his mouth. Will that cause cavities?

This is our family at the trunk or treat. This was Benson's practice run.

Gardner Village
Hey, a friend my size...but you don't laugh or run...um...I'm bored with you-but you are cute.
